I love these flats!

These are absolutely eye candies! Love the spread of colours. Drool worthy. Incredibly adorable!!!

Dude, where's my car?

My red car just blends right into the sea of red cars.

Morning bliss

Made a proper breakfast this morning.
Earl Grey tea

Shrimp siew mai and ha gao

This is not exactly my breakfast but interesting. It is a cup of ice-cream bits. Colourful, right? It tastes good too.

Factory Outlet

Drove a long way to the Dubai Outlet Mall. I saw it on the website and wanted to see if there's any bargain.

Well, I am disappointed because....

It is still under renovation!

But being a bargain queen, I am not that easily defeated. I walked around the huge mall and snapped some pictures.

Have you ever wondered why Singapore does not have a Mango Outlet given there're so many Mango stores around?

I will come again when the shops are ready. Now I just need to wait. *tap fingers on the table impatiently*

In her shoes

You should know by now I have been watching lots of DVDs lately.

Another highly recommended movie is In Her Shoes by Cameron Diaz, Toni Collette and Shirley Maclaine. Catch it if you can.

Queen Bees and Wannabes

Watched Mean Girls on DVD and thought the movie is brilliant. It is based on this book

I ordered this book and am only half way through it. If you are interested, you can read a few pages by clicking this link...

Happy reading!

Yo! Sushi

The Japanese restaurant in my office building is doing a buy-one-get-one-free promotion. Being a bargain hunter, I would not miss out this great opportunity to sample some sashimi and sushi.
Conveyor belt style

Squid salad

THICK slice of salmon sashimi (yes, the depth of the fish slice that you can see is the THICKNESS, not the width or the height of the sashimi)

Chicken Teriyaki

Fancy green tea teapot

Now, all I need is a friend or a date to share all these food with!

Dang!

I banged my car into the curb this morning. And now the wheel cover is damaged.

Should I be worried? Should I go to the serivce centre to get this fix? Or is it just a cosmetic thing for the wheel?

Views on my drive back home

This is one of the many Dubai Expressways, the Sheikh Zayed Road.

The sign shows the exit. The orange sign is new. It indicates the new road toll system, Salik. Every one has to pay 4 dhm each time one passes the gantry. It operates 24 hours a day, every day.

The building on the right is the famous 6 star hotel, Burj Al Arab. The buildings on the left is Souk Madinat Jumeirah. Souk means market. There are Gold Souk, Textile Souk and Spice Souk in Dubai.

This is route D94, or Al Sufouh Road. I take this road because I am a cheapo. This is an alternate route parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road. I take the last free exit on Sheikh Zayed Road and take this to go back home.

By the way, look at the trees and grass in the above picutre. They are very costly to maintain as they are irrigated using automatic, desalinated water.

The building I am staying in is the one with a funny roof.

Hatta Heritage Museum

It is an hour drive from Dubai city centre. The stuff are all real stuff. VINTAGE. ANTIQUE.

Meet Xian

She is the cutest little thing ever. A very sweet and lovely girl. Her dad is Irish, her mom is half Irish half Malaysian. And that makes her 3/4 Irish and 1/4 Malaysian.

I nearly grab her home with me today. She is just so adorable.

Dubai Skyline

A view from my office.

Look who are here!

Sorry for the no update. My parents are here for a short visit, not visiting me though. They are here for Miss Catcat.
