It is very rare to see Dubai in the rain.
And it seems that drivers in Dubai are not used to driving in wet condition.
There was major traffic jam on the major highways. Variable Message Signs (VMS) were all filled with messages like "Drive Slowly", "Reduce Speed" and "Watch out for sand and water puddles".
I am very well trained in Singapore and can drive in thunderstorm /torrential rain with ease. But it is a great excuse for being late for work. No need to wake up and crawl out of bed early in the morning. Can't complain.
